Charity cricket match 2010
A charity cricket match was held on the 6th June at Bramlands Lane, Woodmancote. The SSCF Team, captained by Vascular Surgeon, Syed Waquar Yusuf won by 4 wickets against a Rest of the County Hospital Team, lead by Sandeep Chauhan, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Funds were raised for the Sussex Stroke & Circulation Fund from the sale of lunch and drinks on the day. Our Host, David Green, generously donated his time and the venue, as well as the most delicious pies from the Real Pie Company in Crawley. Mrs. Yusuf also provided samosas, raita and spicy chicken so that all tastes were catered for. Home made cakes and tea were served after the match.
Our further thanks go to ASDA Stores in Brighton Marina for their donation of baked beans and mineral water, all of which was consumed with relish!
